The Seeds of Sustainability is the social aspect of the Environmental Education Program (PEA) and encourages the work of local organizations and projects that contribute to bringing social, cultural, and economic vitality to the communities in the municipalities within Jaguar's area of influence, encompassing culture, education, sports, community organizations, and job and income generation.
Since 2022, Jaguar Mining has remodeled the Seeds of Sustainability Project to meet the Environmental Education Reference Terms, aligning the new project actions with the company's commitment to creating and cultivating sustainable values for stakeholders through best mining practices and the protection of employee health and well-being, the environment, and the communities where it operates.
The Seeds project aims to create opportunities for community residents interested in participating to develop new skills and socioeconomic initiatives. To this end, the project offers socioeconomic development courses through non-formal environmental education.
Jaguar Mining believes in sustainable and effective actions and partnerships, with good results for all involved. Therefore, the Seeds of Sustainability Project seeks to invest in training, focusing on the socioeconomic and cultural development of the communities.
