Luis Albano Tondo

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Albano Tondo was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer on August 1, 2025. Mr. Albano Tondo is an accomplished executive with over 35 years of experience in the mining industry, having worked at C-levels across Operations, Capital Projects (Studies and Constructions), and Corporate Development, consistently achieving significant results. After dedicating half of his career to Major Mining Companies, he spent the last 14 years working for Junior Mining Companies in the Gold and Copper industries, where he directly oversaw the construction of numerous mid-scale mines and plants across South America. He also brings valuable experience as an Independent Board Member for a couple of Junior companies. Mr. Albano Tondo has an MBA awarded by Fundação Dom Cabral – Brazil, an MEngSc by Research from the JKMRC – University of Queensland – Australia and a BSc in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil. Albano is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy(AusIMM).

Marina Fagundes de Freitas

Interim Chief Financial Officer & Vice President, Finance and Projects

Ms. Marina Fagundes de Freitas was named Interim Chief Financial Officer of Jaguar in May 2025. Before stepping into this role, she served as Vice President, Finance and Projects. Over her 14-year tenure at Jaguar, she has held several leadership positions and played a pivotal role in shaping the Company’s Governance through the Internal Audit function and establishing its Risk and Compliance program. With over 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Fagundes de Freitas possesses deep expertise honed through previous roles at Deloitte and Holcim. In recent years, she has led numerous strategic initiatives and process enhancements across various areas, including strategic planning, projects, finance, IT and engineering.

Eric Duarte

Vice President Business Development

Mr. Eric Duarte joined Jaguar in 2017 as GM Operations at the Caeté complex, and was promoted to VP Operations in 2019. Mr. Duarte has an executive background in operations and project management with over 20 years of experience in the international mining Industry, having worked in the USA, South Africa, Australia, and Tanzania. He has in-depth knowledge gleaned from managing both underground and open-pit mining operations with an emphasis on safety, strategic planning, production, management of performance indicators, process improvement and multi-year budgeting. Mr. Duarte has shown himself to be to leader in developing multidisciplinary teams, implementing projects, managing complex production processes, negotiating contracts and overseeing high value budgets. He graduated with a degree in Geology with post-graduate degrees in Business Administration/Management from the University of Cape Town. He also attended C-Level training and Executive management courses at Harvard Business School and the Stanford Business School. 

Juliana Esper

Vice President Sustainability

Ms. Juliana Esper was appointed Vice President, Sustainability of Jaguar in September 2025. She is an executive with more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry, having worked across projects and operations in the Americas. She has led programs focused on securing the social license to operate, advancing permitting for expansion projects, and strengthening socio-environmental programs to create long-term value. Prior to joining Jaguar, Ms. Esper held senior leadership roles in both large and mid-sized mining companies, where she was responsible for management systems, audits, permitting, and stakeholder engagement. Her career is distinguished by integrating sustainability into business strategy and driving shared value creation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Ms. Esper holds degrees in Mining Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, as well as a Master’s in Mineral Characterization. She is certified in international standards for environmental management, occupational health and safety, and social responsibility, including the International Cyanide Management Code, GISTM, and TSM. She has also completed leadership and corporate governance training and brings experience serving on executive boards and technical committees.

Carla Moura Tavares

Vice President Corporate Affairs

Ms. Carla Moura Tavares was appointed Vice President, Corporate Affairs of Jaguar in September 2025 and is responsible for overseeing key corporate functions with a focus on governance and stakeholder engagement. She has over 20 years of professional experience, including 14 years in the mining sector having worked at Carpathian Gold and Samarco and has been with Jaguar since 2019. Her strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities have propelled her beyond traditional legal roles, allowing her to successfully manage diverse corporate areas including Legal, Humans Resources, Institutional Relations, Communities, Communication, Administration and Corporate Security. Her extensive experience includes large-scale mining events and the successful implementation of strategic projects. Most recently, Ms. Tavares's in-depth knowledge of both company operations and Brazilian regulations was instrumental in resolving the Santinoco pile incident. Ms. Tavares holds a Law degree with specialization in Corporate Law and Business Management.
